welfare, recreation & sporting facilities - terror club and eagle club (us navy)

The Terror Club is an all-ranks recreation facility managed by the US Navy (USN). Provided for Singapore-based and visiting US military personnel and their families, it’s also open to visiting UKDF, NZDF and ADF personnel (and their families) on an invitation basis. Situated just outside the Sembawang port gates, it has a 33 metre pool (with a lane roped off for lap swimming), basketball court, tennis courts, softball diamond, beach volleyball court and playing fields. Meals and refreshments (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are available for purchase from 1100-2100 daily. All military visitors must show their military ID card to gain access – civilian guests may accompany military personnel.

The Eagle Club, located near the corner of Admiralty Road East and Sembawang Road, is a USN recreation facility for Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Sailors. The Eagle Club serves meals and has a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

While the Terror Club and the Eagle Club may be used by visiting ADF/ADO personnel, it is important to remember that we Aussies have the use of these facilities by invitation only. The clubs will be delighted to see you and will make you welcome, provided you don’t make yourselves unwelcome by loutish or unsociable behavior. Be aware of your surroundings and the fact that children will often be present.
